SHILLONG,CHERAPUNJEE, KAZIRANGA & GUWAHATI 6N/7D

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport /Station, you will be welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to Shillong ( 130 kms /3 hours drive ) .You will be seeing beautiful spots enroute like Umium lake created after the dam was constructed on the Umiam river in early 1960’s . Later , we will be reaching Shillong which is now a capital and hill station of Meghalaya known as The Adobe of Clouds ,.Stay overnight at Hotel in Shillong.

After breakfast, you will be leaving for an amazing excursion to Cherapunjee (60 kms /2 hours one way). It is the traditional capital of Khasi Tribal chieftainship known as sohra or Churra. you may also visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh Kalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Seven sister falls, Eco Park etc. Later you will be returning back to Shillong and stay overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Kaziranga (325 kms /8 hours). This amazing national park was declared a world heritage site in 1985. This park hosts almost 2/3 of the World’s population of Rhinos. Stay overnight at Hotel in Kaziranga.

Early morning, you will be leaving on a jeep safari in the Kaziranga national park. Rhinos will steal your attraction during this safari but other animals such as Hog deer, Swamp dear, Wild buffalo, Mighty Tiger might also surprise you with their presence in the park. Its also a fine place for bird watching where you can spot pelicans, storks and darters. After breakfast at the hotel, you can visit the tea and spice plantations. In the Afternoon enjoy jeep safari in the central range. Kaziranga is a vast elephant grass, broadleaf forests, marshland, crisscrossed by the major rivers including Brahmaputra and other river bodies. Stay overnight at Hotel in Kaziranga. NOTE: As per company policy We will not book or confirm Elephant Safari. Elephant Safari at Kaziranga can be arranged on direct payment basis. (Elephant Safari time: 1st Ride- 5.15-6.15 AM; 2nd ride: 6.30-7.30 am)

Morning enjoy your breakfast and check out for transfer to Guwahati. Situated on the South Bank of river Brahmaputra this is the largest city of Assam, a major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India. Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name "City of Temples" the most important being Kamakhya Temple. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel

After breakfast , you will be heading for a full day trip of Guwahati covering the Kamakhya Devi temple situated on the top of Nilachal hill known famous for the worship of Shakti . Afterwards , you will be taken to state museum ,Navgraha Temple -dedicated to the nine planets located on the top of Chitrasal hill , Umananda temple on bhasmachal – A shiva temple at the peacock island – the smallest riverine island of the world , Sankardeva kalakhetra – is a cultural institution in the panjabari area names after the play writer Srimanta Sankaradev . In the evening you will experience the river cruise jahajghat /Machkowa to jahajghat /Machkowa in river Brahmaputra ( on direct payment ) . Stay overnight at Hotel in Guwahati .

After the breakfast , check out from the hotel and proceed for Guwahati airport /Train station for your journey back home .
